Hi all,Yesterday I had the good fortune of meeting Abid Ali,ex-Indian allrounder at Chennai airport.It was a pleasure talking to him.An unassuming man,he talked with great passion about his playing days.He is currently the coach of our Andhra Ranji team.I asked him about the commercialisation of the game these days and he said that it is a good thing because it is making the players richer.He had special praise for Chandra and Bedi and said that they could turn the ball on any surface.

Failed to win Tata Crucible title as usual. Rajiv Rai was in great form. Hats off to him for
winning the quizzing slam(BEQ & TC) this year. His team partners too deserve the same
praise. By the way, Prashant has won this year's Indian Idol. Oops,I am sorry, the phone company associated with the contest has won the grand prize. 7 crore SMSes in one week
to vote the champion, ufff, what money man!

By the way, is anyone following Indian Idol ? Amit is very hot at the moment.Ankita is not very far behind. The show is fantastic except for the constant bickering of Anu Malik,our copy cat number one. Of course,he has some good hits to his credit,but he is not in the same league as
LP,RDB etc. Amit has a steady voice. Ankita adapts herself to any type of song. My hunch is that they will finish 1-2 .

Its raining heavily today in Vizag due to the cyclone near the Orissa coast. By the way,
blogeswari, the answer is 'The story of my experiments with truth', Gandhiji's
autobiography. Anyhow, me and my partner have qualified to represent our company.
Lets see how 'tata crucible' goes. My hunch is that we will do better this year,may be
probably win it. Who knows?

I don't know how many of you are watching Indian idol. But I find the show amazing. The whole packaging is so cool. The youngsters are immensely talented and confident. But one thing I don't like is the voting through SMS. How can SMS voting be uniform and impartial?
